Printing a Clock
The creation of the H-Case resulted from the irritation of taking a case off a phone to use the iPhone clock. A case that was easy to take off and on was necessary.

The Beginnings of a Case
So began the year long design process. The goal was to make a 3d printed case out of Flexible TPU to allow for ease of taking on and off, but something wasn't right. It was too flimsy. We experimented with a normal rigidity PLA. Squeezing the phone in with all our might and we couldn't get it in. Instead it cracked in half.

The Prototype
With a case cracked in half, I slid the two parts on to the phone. Then it immediately fell off. Adding makeshift connectors out of paper the H-Case was created.

Refinement
Possibilities, questions, failures, and successes followed. 3D printing opened up a new level of opportunities. Impact transfer of energy with the two piece design. Why not make it a bit bigger to hide cards and cash. Done. Why not make it out of environmentally friendly, durable, and unique materials? PLA Wood, PLA, and PLA Metal. Done. Why not put a design on it. The ocean. Done.
